Cnoc Soilleir is an exciting joint venture between Ceòlas Uibhist and the college. Located in the Gaelic heartland of South Uist, Cnoc Soilleir will promote and celebrate the community’s Gaelic cultural heritage.

We have been delivering courses online for over a decade and our staff are leading experts in the delivery of online learning. We offer a wide range of courses, many of which have been developed especially for online delivery. We also offer a wide range of flexibility including part-time courses, evening classes and we have a Student Support Team that can help you with various aspects of student life; from funding, applications and more.

Gaelic courses

The Outer Hebrides is home to a vibrant Gaelic speaking community. With us, you can learn Gaelic whilst immersing yourself Gaelic culture and Heritage. Gaelic is the first language of the Outer Hebrides. Today the islands are the main stronghold of this lyrical language in Scotland, and one of the few places you’ll hear it spoken in day to day life.
